Freedom! Do you think the world keeps judging you?

I often wonder what gave me this life. What gave me this life full of spontaneous joys? What gave me this ability to make my own choices in so many circumstances? I believe I manifested it.

Freedom has always been my first priority. For me, freedom is the ability to choose and to have a way out. It doesn’t mean being able to do anything. But I must be able to choose a job, choose my partner, quit a job and follow a different path, choose to get married or not get married, choose to have sex or not have sex, choose to have kids or not have kids, choose to drink in a bar, choose to drink alone, to spend the night partying or to skip the party everyone else is going to.

People often think the world is busy making choices for us. I used to think that too. I used to think the world was judging me, and I had to prove my choices to everyone around me. But the more I grow up, the more I realize that’s far from the truth. The world has its own work and focus, rather than consciously judging us or pushing us to make certain choices. And what about the random comments people make? That’s just the human brain wanting to say something when it has nothing else to say. Don’t worry about that it’s more about them than about us.

Therefore, our freedom or our prison is basically our own mindset, not anyone else’s. If we can make peace with ourselves, that’s all it is about.

So what is stopping us? What is stopping us from choosing the person we truly love? From leaving the person we know we don’t want to spend the rest of our lives with? From traveling solo, just as we’ve always dreamed? From having that lovely coffee at sunset? Fear. The barriers in our own mindset. And that has nothing to do with our parents, or neighbors, or colleagues, or Facebook friends or anyone.

But here’s another truth: our freedom should never invade the freedom of anyone else. It should not destroy what our teams have been working toward, or destroy our own life, or anyone else’s. You cannot decide not to complete your work just because you want freedom, you cannot decide to party whole night if your family is in debt; In simple words, our freedom shouldn’t cost anyone anything.

Make peace with yourself!
